perchguide は、Canvas LMS と EchoVideo を日本語で説明するだけの資料ではありません。押すところが光る体験デモ、画面図つきの手順書、問い合わせを受けたときの切り分け手順まで、使う人の立場ごとにそろえます。読んで覚えるのではなく、たどれば終わっている状態を目指しています。perchguide is more than Canvas explained in Japanese. Click-through demos that light up the next step, illustrated procedures, and a triage path for when a question arrives — prepared for each role, so people finish the task rather than study it.

The guide lives inside Canvas — not in a PDF nobody opens.
ヨウムの方針は一つです。教員のストレスを、徹底的に減らす。
Canvas の画面の右下に出る〔使い方ガイド〕を押すと、いま開いている画面の上で次に押す場所が光り、吹き出しが手順を 1 つずつ出します。課題・採点・モジュール・小テスト・評定表・アナウンス・ディスカッション。教員が毎週触る 7 本・全 36 手。画面が変わっても、続きから案内します。

- 導入は大学全体の設定を 1 つ入れるだけ。コースごとの作業も、教員に配る手順書も要りません
- Canvas は約 3 週間ごとに更新されます。案内の目印が生きているかを毎晩自動で点検し、変わっていれば直して配信し直します。先生が気づく前に直っている状態を保ちます

Back when no one was looking at Canvas SaaS, we were already meeting people, talking it through, and seeing for ourselves what it does well and what it still lacks — and those years are, in themselves, the answer to how a distributor should be chosen. So perchguide is the guide handed to you before you stumble, and the one you come back to when you are lost; behind it stand operators who know Canvas SaaS inside out — people with hands-on experience and deep product knowledge, and with the language and the years abroad to argue a point with headquarters in their own terms. 研修は、その日で終わります。
講座は、毎年使えます。Training ends that day. A course can be used every year.
perchdojo は、Canvas LMS と EchoVideo の使い方を学ぶための日本語の講座群です。大学の Canvas にコースとして置いてお使いいただきます。章立てはモジュール機能そのもの、各章のはじめに動画、本文は手順と画面図、章ごとに確認クイズ、最後に修了テスト。読むためのマニュアル（perchguide）と、画面の中で次に押す場所を案内するガイドと合わせて、日本語の学習環境がそろいます。perchdojo is Youmu’s family of Japanese-language courses for learning Canvas LMS and EchoVideo, delivered as courses placed inside the university’s own Canvas. Modules for chapters, a video to open each one, procedures with figures, a quiz per chapter and a final test.
perchdojo は LTI 1.3 のアプリではありません。ほかの youmu perch 製品のように Canvas に横付けするツールではなく、Canvas のコースとして配る学習コンテンツです。接続作業や権限設定は要りません。perchdojo is not an LTI 1.3 app. Unlike the other youmu perch products, it is not a tool bolted onto Canvas but learning content delivered as Canvas courses — no integration or permission setup required.

大学の Canvas にコースとして配ります。履修者を登録すれば、その日から受講できます。接続作業はありません。Delivered as a course in your own Canvas. Enrol people and they can start the same day — nothing to integrate.

新しく着任した先生も、中途で担当になった職員も、いつでも同じ内容を、同じ順で受けられます。先輩の手が空くのを待たなくて済みます。A newly appointed lecturer, or someone who took over mid-year, can take the same content in the same order, at any time.
- 古くならないKept current
Canvas はおよそ 3 週間ごとに新しくなります。画面が変われば画面図と手順を直し、新しい機能には、その機能だけを扱う講座を足して配信します。Canvas changes about every three weeks. Figures and steps are updated, and new features get a course of their own.
大学の Canvas に、講座がコースとして並びます。事務局編・教員編・情報システム編・学生編。The courses sit in your own Canvas — for staff, faculty, IT and students.
章立てはモジュール機能そのもの。上から順に進み、前の章を終えないと次へ進めません。Chapters are Canvas modules — in order, with the next one locked until the last is done.
本文は、手順を番号で並べ、実際の画面図を添えています。読みながら、そのまま手を動かせます。Numbered steps with real screenshots, so people can work while they read.
章ごとに確認クイズ、最後に修了テスト。どこまで伝わったかを数字で確かめられます。A quiz per chapter and a final test, so you can see in numbers how much landed.

授業と学修データ
読む教材に、書き込みながら読ませる。perchnote — social annotation that works in Japanese, from day one.
動画には、書き込む余白がありました。講義動画の同じ場面に、学生が質問を書き、教員が答える。それは EchoVideo で実現できます。
ところが、日本語の「文章」に書き込めるソーシャル・アノテーションは、どこにもありませんでした。英語圏の製品は日本語の授業では動かず、読む教材だけが取り残されていました。Video had margins to write in. Japanese texts did not — until now.
PDF の余白に、学生が問いやメモを書き込みます。書き込みは本文のその場所に結びつき、ほかの学生が返信できます。そして読んだ過程そのものを点数にして、Canvas の成績表へ返します。Canvas のふつうの課題として動くので、学生は別のサービスにログインし直しません。Students annotate in the margins; the reading process itself becomes the grade, written back to the Canvas gradebook.

課題を作るときは、読ませる教材を選ぶだけ。採点欄は自動で用意されます。Pick the reading; the assignment and grade column appear automatically.

- 教員が課題を作り、読ませる PDF を選ぶ。縦書きかどうかは自動で判定されます
- 学生が読みながら書き込み、ほかの学生の書き込みに返信する

学生どうしで評価させて、その評価の質まで測る。perchpeer — peer review that also grades the reviewing.
相互評価に必ず返ってくる反論は、ひとつです。「学生に成績はつけられない」。
perchpeer はこれに、保証ではなく仕組みで答えます。評価する側の正確さを測り、正確な評価者の点ほど重く数える。甘い評価も辛い評価も、自動的に効き目が下がります。Reviewers are themselves measured; accurate reviewers count more.
学生は割り当てられた提出物を匿名で読み、観点ごとに点を付けてコメントを書きます。評価を受けた側は、その評価が役に立ったかを返します。教員は実名つきの詳細を見て、点数を Canvas の成績表へ書き戻します。採点に AI は使いません。点数は数字の並びだけから決まり、学生に一文で説明できます。

話す量を、教室の外で。
詰まったら、日本語で聞けばいい。More speaking time outside class — and it’s fine to ask in Japanese.
perchcoach. は、Canvas の課題として動く AI 英会話の練習相手です。学生はレストランの店員や留学生といった役の AI と、声またはキーボードで英語の会話をします。言葉に詰まったら「〇〇って英語で何？」と日本語で聞けば、AI が英語の言い方を短く教えてから会話に戻ります。聞いた言葉は単語帳にたまり、練習の結果は Canvas の成績表に自動で返ります。perchcoach. is an AI English conversation partner that runs as a Canvas assignment. Students talk with an AI in role — a server, an exchange student — by voice or keyboard. Stuck for a word? Ask in Japanese; the AI teaches the English phrase briefly and goes back to the conversation. Words land in a personal notebook, and results flow back to the Canvas gradebook.

Canvas の課題作成で perchcoach. を選び、10 の場面から選ぶだけ。成績表の採点欄も自動で用意されます。Pick perchcoach. in the Canvas assignment editor and choose one of ten scenarios. The gradebook column is created for you.
- 話すSpeak
音声でもテキストでも。日本語で聞けるので、初級の学生でも会話が止まりません。By voice or text. Because students can ask in Japanese, even beginners keep the conversation going.
- 成績表に返るGrades return
決まった指標だけで採点し、点数と要約を Canvas の成績表へ。AI は点数を付けません。Scored only by fixed measures; the score and a short summary go to the Canvas gradebook. The AI never assigns the grade.
日本語で聞ける — 英語が出てこなければ、日本語で質問。AI が英語の言い方を教えて会話に戻り、単語帳に記録されます。Stuck? Ask in Japanese. The AI teaches the phrase, returns to English, and saves it to the notebook.
振り返り — 点数と 4 つの指標、使えた表現、AI からの助言。助言は点数に関係しません。Score, four measures, target phrases used, and AI advice — which never affects the score.
結果一覧 — 先生は課題を開くだけ。学生ごとの練習回数・話した量・使えた表現が一覧になり、CSV でも保存できます。Teachers just open the assignment: practice count, speaking volume and phrases used per student, exportable as CSV.
成績表に自動で返る — Canvas の SpeedGrader に、点数と「英語 25語／目標表現 4/4」のような要約が入ります。The score and a one-line summary appear in Canvas SpeedGrader automatically.

クラウドサービスは高い可用性で運用されていますが、停止を完全になくすことはできません。perchglide. は、前夜のうちに当日の教材を学内に用意しておき、Canvas に接続できない日でも、先生が自分で教材を取り出せるようにします。Cloud services run with high availability, but outages can never be fully eliminated. perchglide. prepares the next day’s materials on campus the night before, so teachers can retrieve them themselves even when Canvas is unreachable.

次の 2 授業日分の教材を用意。時間割と学年暦から開講科目を特定し、祝日や振替授業日にも対応します。Prepares materials for the next two class days from the timetable and academic calendar, including holidays and make-up days.

学内に保管し、点検。新しい教材がそろってから切り替え、点検結果は正常でも異常でも必ず届きます。Stores them on campus and checks them; switches only when the new set is complete, and always reports the result.

- 入っていないものを、隠さず書く。小テストと試験の設問は意図的に取りません。当日に知るのがいちばん困るので、先に伝えます
- 大学名も窓口名も、貴学の表記で納品。「システム企画推進課へ」と書いてあれば、先生は迷いません
製品を売るだけなら、ここまで書きません。止まった日に、先生が誰にも聞かずに授業を始められること。それがこの製品の合格点だと考えています。
「落ちない」ではなく、「落ちても着陸できる」。対象は Canvas SaaS をご利用の大学です。Canvas とは別の基盤（学内サーバーまたは国内クラウド）に設置します。Not “it never goes down,” but “it can land even if it does.” For universities using Canvas SaaS; installed on infrastructure separate from Canvas — an on-campus server or a domestic cloud.
